Mathew 6:22-23
“’The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”

It is depicting how there are many things that we let into our eye gates, meaning that – we look at or watch. Some of these things are always good such as Jesus. Some are always bad such as pornography and others can be good or bad such as movies, photos, poetry, the internet, etc. The things that we look at have an effect on us. They will either influence a positive effect, such as teaching us to love and respect each other, thus producing light. Or they will influence a negative effect, such as discouraging us or causing fear, thus producing darkness.
