A. THE COUNTRY

The Principality of Andorra in southwestern Europe is located in the
Pyrenees mountains and doubly landlocked by Spain and France.  Andorra
is self-governing co-principality with its own constitution, judiciary
and foreign policy.  The role of monarch is shared between the French
president and the Spanish bishop of Urgel.  Andorra is a tax haven for
goods and banking and has become wealthy primarily through tourism (10
million visitors annually) but also through duty-free sales and
import/export.

B. THE PEOPLE

The population is ~88,000 and official language Catalan.  Most growth is
through immigration.  ~97.8% are European, ~2.2% Other.
Materialism holds Andorra in a tight grip.

C. RELIGIONS AND CHRISTIANITY/PENTECOSTALISM

There is freedom of religion, while the Catholic Church remains
established.  Many consult mediums, seers and astrologers for guidance.
~90.78% claim to be Christian, ~5.9% Non-religious, ~2.3% Muslim, ~0.6%
Hindu, ~0.3% Jewish, ~0.12% Baha’i.
In the Christian category:
~89.06% are Catholic, ~0.8% Unaffiliated, ~0.53% are considered
‘marginal’,~0.22% Protestant, ~0.12% Anglican, ~0.1% Independent.
Evangelicals represent ~0.4% of the population.
Charismatics represent ~1.8% and of those ~0.2% are Pentecostals.
